Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the recently started government medical college in Karnataka. Also, it is known as Chamarajanagar Medical College. It was founded in the year 2013. It is started with a vision to offer the best medical education with the modern method to the students that will enable students to express their talents in the field of medicine.
The Chamarajanagar medical college is an autonomous institute of medical sciences which comes under the Government of Karnataka. Chamarajanagar Medical College Yadapura is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and also it has been approved by the Medical Council of India. The college has a well-developed infrastructure and facilities like Medical lab, Auditorium, Sports and the other facilities too.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility
17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years. All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or bio-technology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category)
Admission Procedure: It is compulsory for students to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. All the Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities will be based on NEET score. Seats for all medical and dental colleges / institutions / universities will be offered through counselling based on the NEET Score/Rank, Preferences of colleges and seats availability.
Admission to Chamarajanagar Medical College is done through All India Medical Counselling for All India Quota(15% of MBBS seats) or through Tamilnadu State medical counselling(85% quota) conducted by Karnataka state medical authority.
